Introducing Hare-y Biker

Hare-y Biker is one of many giant hare sculptures part of the Hares About Town art trail in Southend-on-Sea in the summer of 2021. This Design is a celebration of the local area in a collage of illustrations based on artwork from popular local ‘Fendell Posters’ designs.

spectacular public art events ever…

Hares About Town was a spectacular public art event in partnership with Wild in Art that weaved its way across Southend on Sea from July 2021 for 10 weeks. Hare sculptures, each one individually designed by an artist and sponsored by a business, form a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery for local people to explore and enjoy!

After entertaining and bringing people together, the legacy of Hares About Town continues as many of the sculptures will be auctioned to raise vital funds for a local charity Havens Hospices.

Hare-y Biker sold for £4,200!

Myself, Leigh-on-Sea Brewery and Atlantic Pacific are so pleased to announce that Hare-y will have a new home at the brewery tap! This is the perfect location for him where he can continue to be adored by the local community. This would not have been possible without Hare-y’s amazing sponsor Atlantic Pacific.
